Anastasia is set against the backdrop of the Russian Revolution and 1920s Paris and follows Anya, a young woman with amnesia, as she uncovers her true identity.
Maine State Music Theatre’s Anastasia: The Musical will be performed at the Pickard Theater in Brunswick from June 4th through June 21st.

Welcome summer with chamber music that connects new sounds, the environment, and the community.
Vigorous Tenderness is an immersive outdoor concert series that amplifies marginalized voices in classical music and democratizes new and experimental music. This summer solstice event resembles an art museum experience, with a series of chamber music performances nestled in the landscape while the audience follows a path of listening and reflection.
People of all ages are welcome; this is a family friendly event.
Please carpool, bike or use public transit; parking will be limited.
Please arrive between 6-6:45 pm and move through the installation of continuous performances at your own pace.

The High Street Jazz Band is a multiple piece band performing jazz standards from the Great American Songbook. You will hear songs from Ellington and Gershwin to the Latin rhythms of Antônio Carlos Jobim.
The band is composed of many talented musicians including Paul DuBrule on piano, Tom Chandel on bass, Gary Polhemus on guitar, John Delea on congas, Claudia Keller on sax and clarinet, Scott Holden on drums and vocals, and Janet Gill on vocals. If you enjoy jazz standards you will love this band.

Starling is a folk-pop band based in Portland, ME consisting of strings (Amarantos Quartet) and vocals (Sara Hallie Richardson). The band draws inspiration from lifelong idols Stevie Nicks, Joan of Arc, Joni Mitchell, and Anne of Green Gables. Starling’s music evokes pastoral imagery, deep dreamscapes, and matters of the heart. As industry veterans, members of the band have collectively played locally and internationally with artists including Kacey Musgraves, Halsey, St. Vincent, Christina Perri, Guster, The Rustic Overtones, Ray LaMontagne, Owl City, Kenny Rogers, and Glen Campbell.
Max García Conover is a songwriter from the burned over district of New York, now based in Maine. In the past he’s collaborated with Son Canciones, Haley Heynderickx, Ben Cosgrove, Paula Prieto, The Ballroom Thieves, and Julie Arsenault. In between songs he tells stories and those stories have been featured on The Moth Radio Hour and Stories From The Stage.

Magic Eight Ball brought you the acclaimed Nobel Laureate Bob Dylan Birthday celebration, and the unprecedented tribute to national treasure Tom Waits, and most recently wowed an appreciative audience with another celebration of the winter solstice. Now the boys return to The Hill Arts with a sack full of summer songs. As the days grow longer, Ben Hunsberger, Ted DeMille, and Chris Dombrowski have prepared a unique and compelling collection of songs that celebrate the Summer Solstice-designed to entertain and inspire the season. The boys are thrilled to be joined by Callie Brennan on fiddle and vocals. Callie is well known in both the classical and Americana communities and her talents blend seamlessly with the Magic 8 Ball sound.
Expect excellent musicianship, original songs, and the good-natured humor Magic 8 Ball is known for. With selections ranging from originals to traditional folk to contemporary Americana, Magic Eight Ball holds us in the light as the summer months approach the coast of Maine.

5/31 Dan Cloutier w/ Ricardo BarrazaThis guitar-strumming storyteller is aiming to steal your heart with lyrical honesty. Dan Cloutier has sold out shows throughout New England. Expect beloved covers and originals too! He just released an album called, "The Iceberg" - spending the last year traveling to Greenland, and Newfoundland to record music and make videos about these adventures.
6/21 Seth GallantSeth grew up in a mill town in rural Western Maine to a family that played music on the front porch at almost any occasion. These traditions of folk, country, and Acadian music would shape the songs he writes and performs today. Gallant is set to release a new album in 2025, a collection of songs that celebrate simplicity in rural living. This will be his second full length album. Alongside recording and releasing music, he has preformed throughout New England and the northeast since 2021.
